Architecture is an art form. The results are a work of art that cannot be hidden. The object is on exhibition for a very long period of time and has many viewers. This places great demands on the artist. The work should not only be pleasing to the eye, it must also function well on technical, emotional and economic levels. This poses an irresistible challenge for an architect. I want to create homes that, like people, age graciously and that one day may share the joy of children and grandchildren or welcome other new occupants.

I received several scholarships in school for drawing. I also did well in physics. I loved to read and also loved woodworking. This makes an ideal combination for an aspiring architect. You tend to become good at what interests you. At an early age I had a love and a longing for things of beauty, genuine and simple things. I get these traits from my family which has included many generations of architects through the years. Their knowledge is my inheritance. The rest is an irresistible desire to travel on the road to discovery. For 25 years I have enjoyed my work along this road with my clients, turning dreams into reality in projects large and small.

Most of my clients realize that they are not good at everything. But they know what they want and are good at prioritizing. They are also clever, interested and emotionally generous. They appreciate quality material and solutions, both in the details as well as in general. We work closely enough so that we maintain an important balance between the creative process and the ever-present budget. Together we create something special that gives expression to a feeling and a lifestyle. In short, my clients are just like you.

“Beams of light shine through the large windows, falling softly on the floor, only to bounce up again to reflect throughout the entire room. Morning light. Afternoon light. In the light lives life.”
